Do you find yourself having major and intense food cravings wondering what you should do when these intense food cravings take over your mind, body and spirit? 😉

It's like the Marna-food-craving alien takes over and HAS to eat chocolate or ice cream. This feeling feels entirely out of control and as someone who's a bit of a control freak, that doesn't bode well for me.

If you can relate, today I'd love to share a strategy that you can start using immediately that will help.

Now remember, there are a lot of different ways to manage food cravings, so if this doesn't help you, feel free to let me know and I will find a different solution for you.

If a food craving takes over…

STEP 1: Ask yourself “Is this crazy craving for chocolate (in my case) happening in my head or in my body?”

You can even place your hands on your stomach to direct the energy under your hands to determine where exactly this craving is taking place.

This will help you to determine if this craving is actually physical or emotional.

STEP 2A:  If this food craving is entirely emotional – tell yourself “great, I can see you really want this chocolate. You can absolutely have it! Let's wait until I'm hungry okay?

STEP 2B: If the food craving is physical, then go ahead and have that food you are craving. ENJOY it. Relish in it. Take time to really sit and BE with the food so that you actually enjoy it.

STEP 3: Practice. Don't try this once and say it doesn't work. Shame on you. If I tried this once, it would have NEVER worked, but I had to practice and have this little conversation in my head until

Thin Mindset TIP: Your mind hates hearing the word no to food – especially if you are a successful, powerful woman. You want to be in control and when you tell yourself NO – you can't have that chocolate, then your subconscious mind is forced to think about it.

By telling yourself that you CAN have it and give your mind parameters to HOW you're going to eat it, you'll be in great shape.
