Then what will happen is this: if you are an apple-shaped woman and you carry extra weight in your belly, then most likely you will see your weight come off a little from your stomach first and then from your head, shoulders, legs and then your belly.

If on the other hand, you’re like me, a pear shape, you carry more weight in your hips and thighs OR you carry the extra weight all over your body, you’ll see a little weight release from your hips, thighs or derriere, but it may or may not be noticeable to you. What will become noticeable is when you start to release from the head down, with your hips and legs being the last place you lose weight from.

Why can’t we just lose weight from our biggest parts of our bodies? Wouldn’t that be amazing? Why can’t I just lose all the fat around my legs and butt first – but that is not how I am genetically made, so you will just have to be patient as the weight falls from your face and the opposite places you want first.

As weight starts coming off, you will hear comments from people asking you if you’ve done something to your face or they will ask you if you cut your hair. What they are really noticing is your face is thinning out as you lose weight.

I share this with you because weight loss starts in your head and face – the exact place that you need to change in order to get thin.

Everything with slimming down starts with your inner game.

To slim down, you must change your self-sabotaging behaviours, eating triggers, overeating, and boundary issues. When you do, you set into motion both inspired and automatic weight loss. Powerful inner game changes allow you to become stronger, leaner and more powerful.

When I start working with my 30 Day Challenge Participants to lose weight, I have them first focus on learning how to eat thin, because learning this crucial skill creates almost immediate weight loss. However, in eating in this fashion, my clients have inner game issues that pop-up and need to be addressed.

See weight loss is more than just how you eat, it’s bigger than that. It’s why you are eating, how much power you give food and what emotional connection you have with food. If you don’t address your whole self as it relates to food, then you miss out on the spiritual and beautiful process of being free with food.
When starting out on a powerful and effective weight loss program, you have to look at:

  • What you need to DECIDE and COMMIT to, to change your to get thin
  • How self-sabotaging behaviors are impacting your weight loss
  • Where your eating triggers pop up in your day
  • How overeating is showing up and why
  • Where you are giving power to others versus taking your power back. The boundary must be addressed to build your self-worth and self-esteem!!!

As you get stronger with your inner game (your mind), your outer body gets to release weight and be precisely the way you envision your beautiful, strong and healthy body in your mind.

When you lose weight where does it go?

So where does the weight go when you lose weight? Here are four possible answers. Let’s see which one you guess –

  1. In your urine
  2. Out through your sweat
  3. Into thin air
  4. In your defecation (yes – my mom made me say defecation instead of poop from the time I was 3 J)
