It's another wonderful 4th of July weekend. Are you ready for some holiday
eating tips since you know that you'll be tempted all over the place with potato salad, hot dogs and loads of barbecues.

Do you want to know how the naturally thin get through the the 4th of July
and still look fantastic without overdoing holiday eating?

Here are 4 tips and tricks to get you through the 4th of July without overeating and in naturally thin fashion….

1. Give yourself permission to eat delicious goodies.

The naturally thin don't tell themselves they can't have certain foods unless there is a medical reason.  It's a basic fact of human nature – if we think we can't have something, we want it even more.  I love starting with a green smoothie in the morning so I get lots of greens into my diet and then I mix in other holiday foods into the mix eating them only when I'm hungry.

2. Pay attention to the impact food is having on your body.

Stay in touch with how your body feels and how the food tastes as you eat it. Do you love holiday foods you are eating, or is the food just so-so? If it's so-so, throw it away and get something delicious. By staying mindful, you will prevent massive holiday overeating, and you'll know the precise moment when you've had enough. You'll see that holiday eating will lose some of its taste and appeal if you are paying attention.  If you go too far beyond that point when it doesn't taste as good, you'll likely begin to feel like full and uncomfortable.

3. Pay attention to the first three bites.

The first three bites of any food are always the best. If there's a ton of food around, load up your plate with small portions of a variety of different foods. Then, start with favorite food and work around your plate. The first three bites are always the best, so while your eating mindfully enjoy a variety of foods with the intention of just having just a few bites of each. You'll get full in no time and you'll be both psychologically and physically satisfied – a ThinWithin.com key principle.

4. Make your holiday NOT just about FOOD.

The naturally thin would NEVER plan the 4th of July weekend just around food. Holiday eating is part of the fun, but they make it so much more about the entire weekend experience. Don't bounce from one meal to another during holidays. Plan hikes, walks, attend fairs or art shows, and do fun physical activities so you can still keep your body looking and feeling strong while moving powerfully toward the weight you want to be.

Wishing you a wonderful 4th of July!
