Don’t Wait To Feel Beautiful
Last week I was looking at my “new after pregnancy body” with absolutely nothing cute to wear. My maternity clothes looked frumpy on me and my old clothes looked out of style or just plain didn’t fit. So, with just a few clothes actually fitting, I decided to treat my current body to a shopping spree.
This past Saturday my husband watched my daughter, while I loaded up on cute new shirts to flatter my new shape – and boy am I glad I did! I’ve felt great about my body ever since. All week I’ve been feeling cute versus frumpy and lumpy – and wanna know what happened?
My body shed five pounds this week!
How do you feel in your clothes right now? Are you punishing yourself to look good “ONLY WHEN” your body looks a certain way? It’s hog wash. Don’t let your current body and spirit go down the tubes until you look a certain way or until you’re down to a certain size.
See, when you do this, precious time goes by while you train yourself to hate the way you look versus to love and appreciate you and your body.
Are there things I’d like to change on my body? Of course, and I probably always will. But is that any excuse not to look good in the present?
Heck no!
When you take care of your body now, you take care of your spirit. When you feel good now, it’s easier to love yourself, to eat and live thin and move toward your body goals.
Don’t punish your body – love it! Do one thing this week to honor your current figure. If you get in the habit of doing this – watch out! Your life with your body will change and change fast.
Here’s an audio of an interview that was conducted by Scott Tousignant where I talk about self confidence from pre-pregnancy to now.
Have a listen!
