I ushered in the new year by connecting with my dear friends for dinner, spending time with my family and writing out my 2014 body goals, my business goals and my personal goals with my husband. The key for me each year is to always STRETCH myself and in doing so, I always feel fear in stretching and becoming a better and better version of myself each year. The secret to managing fear and resistance when trying to act on your 2014 body goals is getting clear, having a plan, and having a plan to face fear and resistance.

One of the characteristics I've strengthened over the past few years is getting comfortable with fear. I know every time I want to expand my life and stretch, fear will inevitably come up when making big changes.

Here's my trick to this:  when you make a change like signing up for a coaching program, exercising more, enrolling in a new course, eating more vegis, etc. fear is going to show up as excuses, feeling overwhelmed, being critical of others, saying now is not the right time, or in some way taking yourself out of the game.

Please hear me out on this. This is resistance. It shows up every time you set yourself up to play a bigger game in your life.

Here's a great tip for facing resistance: stay committed to what you enroll in or sign up for. Tell yourself that while trying to improve your life, you may at times feel really really uncomfortable, you will get through this, and what will be available to you on the other side is better then you can imagine.

Don't succumb to the voice of fear and doubt, because who you are is BIGGER than any fear. So stay grounded and stay connected to me, I can help you move through fear and doubt and resistance.

One of my favorite things in the whole world is laying out weight loss plans that are specific to you, your life, your desire and your dreams.
